Why should I become a certified Aircraft Maintenance Technician?

The rapid growth in commercial, civil, and general aviation has presented the aviation industry with a world of career opportunities. With the aging of commercial fleets and the development of newer, technically advanced aircraft the need for certified aircraft maintenance technicians (AMT) is at a critical stage. The need for qualified aircraft technicians has caused the creation of thousands of employment opportunities each year, providing excellent benefits, across the United States and abroad.

Aviation Maintenance Technology Programs of Study

The Aviation Maintenance Technology program provides students with instruction in the general power plant and airframe curricula. Students may choose to seek Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification as an aircraft maintenance technician with an airframe rating and/or a power plant rating by completing the certificate curricula, or they may choose to complete the Associate of Applied Science in order to acquire additional education to advance into supervisory and inspection positions in the industry. The Aviation Maintenance Technology program is accredited by the FAA as an approved Part 147 Maintenance School.
