Practical Nursing Application

ANNOUNCEMENT: Practical Nursing applications for Fall 2026 are open. Applications will close April 15, 2026

To be considered for any of the Practical Nursing program, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be admitted to UA-PTC and have acceptable scores on the college placement exam(s).
  • Hold a High School diploma or equivalent. Concurrent High School Seniors need to contact the program for more specific information in order to apply.
  • Valid Arkansas driver’s license or State issued ID card.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Must be physically and mentally able to perform all essential job functions.
  • Must pass a drug screening.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
  • Take the NEX entrance exam through the National League of Nursing (NLN).
