Complete this request if you have special circumstances you would like the Financial Aid Office to consider for the 2022-2023 academic year. You must have a 2022-23 FAFSA on file and must not be on Financial Suspension to be eligible for this request. This request is designed for students that are not currently pell eligible.
The U.S. Department of Education defines special circumstances as changes affecting income that result in the tax information reported from 2020 to be significantly higher than income earned either in 2021 or 2022. Typically, these circumstances are considered if they are beyond the student’s (or parents’ if dependent) control.

Uploading Significant Circumstance Documents
1. All students must complete the 2022-23 Verification Worksheet and provide signed tax returns for 2020 if they have not already done so for the 2022-23 academic year. If you have these documents available, please upload them below.
2. Special circumstances require the Office of Financial Aid to verify your income for 2020 and the circumstances for which your specific circumstance request is based. Additional information is often required to complete the Special Circumstances Request. While not required, providing the upload information listed under your specific circumstance(s) above will allow our office to more easily review your eligibility for special circumstances on the front end.
