Students may continue to contact any of the following
offices and expect a response within 24 hours.

Academic Advising and Career Services

Academic Advising and Career Services remains accessible to all students. Students can contact the office at (501) 812-2220 or e-mail [email protected]. All e-mails and voice-mails will be returned within 24 hours. Current students interested in changing your degree plan can complete a Change of Degree/Major Form. To drop or withdraw from Spring classes e-mail a request along with a copy of your picture ID to [email protected].

Current student registration opens April 7, 2020. Students have several options to register.

  • Register yourself by clicking Portal 101 if you need a refresher on how to register for classes.
  • E-mail your assigned faculty advisor for assistance.
  • Contact the Academic Advising office at [email protected].

New student registration opens April 21, 2020. All new students can call (501) 812-2220 or e-mail [email protected] to schedule an advising appointment.

Learning Assistance Center

The Learning Assistance Center (LAC) is available for online tutoring. We have moved our face-to-face services to online. Using Blackboard, you are able to see and hear familiar faces you are accustomed to working with from the LAC. We are always here to assist you through hard times; this will not be any different! We will do our best to help you finish strong this semester!

Spring 2020 Online Tutoring Subjects and Hours

English and Literature 

Monday: 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Tuesday – Thursday: 8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Friday: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 4-8 p.m.
Sunday: 4-8 p.m.

English and Literature online tutors are available to assist with:

  • Composition Review
  • English Composition I and II
  • World Literature
  • American Literature
  • Speech
  • Creative Writing
  • Writing Assistance
  • Format Assistance with MLA, APA, Chicago and CBE
  • Writing Assistance
  • Basic Editing

Writing assignments will need to be e-mailed to [email protected] in PDF format. While tutors can help with grammar, they can't proofread entire writing assignments. However, tutors will be happy to answer specific questions.

Math

Monday – Thursday: 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Friday: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 4-8 p.m.
Sunday: 4-8 p.m.

Math online tutors are available to assist with:

  • Foundations of Algebra
  • Transitional Algebra
  • College Algebra
  • Mathematical Reasoning
  • Trigonometry
  • Calculus Series
  • Technical Mathematics
  • Intro to Stats and Probability

Math tutors will be happy to answer any specific questions but they can't assist with entire homework assignments.

Records Office

The Office of Records greatly appreciates your patience during this time. We will continue to provide the support and services you need as they relate to your student records. Most of our request forms are available on the UA-PTC website: www.uaptc.edu/records/student-record-forms. You may print and return these to us along with a copy of your photo ID via fax to (501) 812-2733 or e-mail to [email protected].

Adult Education

In the wake of current events surrounding COVID-19, it is our intent to continue providing educational services for students while also protecting the health of staff and students. UA - Pulaski Technical College and the Saline County Adult Education Center's will utilize Distance Learning Resources for students to ensure a continuation of services. Disability Services

Disability Services remains accessible to the UA-PTC community. Students and faculty may contact the office at (501) 812-2738 or e-mail [email protected].

Any disability services student who needs assistance switching from an in-person class to an on-line format is encouraged to contact the office for assistance.

Counseling Services

UA-PTC counseling services continues to offer mental health counseling and resource assistance to all UA-PTC students. To schedule an online appointment call (501) 812-2738 or e-mail [email protected].

Admissions

Admissions may be contacted by e-mailing [email protected] or by calling (501) 812-2231. You can expect to receive a response within 24 hours.

Financial Aid

Students are still being awarded. Federal, state, and institutional aid is still being processed. Students may contact the Office of Financial Aid through e-mail at [email protected]. Although we currently have limited phone capability to handle large call volumes, students may still call and, if they prefer, leave voice-mails for the office at (501) 812-2289. All e-mails and voice-mails will be returned within 24 hours. In addition, mail and faxes are still being accepted and processed weekly.

Testing Services

Testing services is not currently administering tests. However, Testing Services is scheduling UA-PTC students to take the Accuplacer, Kaplan, or NOCTI exams starting May 1. E-mails may be sent to [email protected] with a preferred date and time or you may call (501) 812-2787. You may also complete the Testing Appointment Request form at www.uaptc.edu/testing/appointment-request.

Foundation Scholarships

We are currently accepting scholarship applications! The entire application process is handled online; the deadline to apply is April 15, 2020. Students will need to complete the following steps:

  • Visit the foundation scholarship page: www.uaptc.edu/foundation/scholarships The topic for the required essay is in the first paragraph.
  • Read the FAQ’s to get a better understanding of what is involved
  • Download the required documents from your student portal (listed on the FAQ page) and write the essay.
  • Access the online application: uaptc.awardspring.com If you are a first-time user, you must create an account (using your UA-PTC e-mail address). If you already have an account, log in.
  • Answer all application questions and upload the required documents. Once the application is complete, submit it!
  • The software will match you to all of the scholarships that you are eligible for.
  • Scholarship notifications we be e-mailed approximately 2 weeks after the deadline.

Career Pathways

Career Pathways staff is accessible online and ready to assist you. We will continue to provide support and assistance to you while operating in an online environment.

Please stayed informed by logging into your portal and read e-mails staff from staff. In addition, to e-mail, we will from time-to-time be sending text messages to you via Remind. Please be sure to respond in a timely manner to those so we can ensure you are receiving our communication.
