1. What is the UA-PTC mobile app?

The UA-PTC mobile app is a smart device application that provides easy access for enrolling at UA-PTC, accessing the campus portal, campus e-mail, password reset, payment options, campus news, course search, tutoring services, campus directory, campus calendar, dining services, testing services, alumni association and more!

2. How much does the UA-PTC mobile app cost?

Free!

3. Where can I get the UA-PTC mobile app?

The UA-PTC mobile app is available for free in both the Google Play and Apple stores. Direct links are available at the following:

4. What devices are supported by the UA-PTC mobile app?

The UA-PTC mobile app supports devices that run on these operating systems:

Apple devices running iOS 11.0 or later
Android devices running version 4.0.3 or later

5. I'm currently using the Blackboard app on my device. Do I still need this app since Blackboard is included via the UA-PTC app?

Direct access to Blackboard is available in the UA-PTC mobile app. Students have shared that usability is easier too compared to the Blackboard app. However, it is the users choice if they choose to keep or delete the Blackboard app. Please note: Completing tasks in Blackboard on a tablet or mobile device is not recommended.

6. What does "An update is available for this screen" notification mean?

This notification will appear when the screen you are visiting has been updated with new content. When you select the notification, the updated screen will appear.

7. What are push notifications/messages?

Push notifications are important messages about UA-PTC sent by the college to your device. If you choose not to receive push notifications, messages will automatically be sent to your messages folder under the Messages section. The next time you access the app, you'll see an unread message notification. As an option under this section, you can opt-in to receive special notification messages for the following:

  • Admissions and Financial Aid
  • Student Support Services
  • Campus Life
  • Employee Relations
  • Community Events

You can opt-out of any opt-in messages at anytime by selecting Manage my opt-in channels under the Opt-in section.

8. Are you going to add more features in the future?

Yes! More features are being added to the application on a continuous basis to bring you the best app experience.

9. My phone is taking a long time to load the information in the app. How do I speed it up?

Try clearing the cache in your device. This function may be located under your devices Settings. Another option is to close out completely of the app and restart it.

10. Is there a suggestion box for feedback?

Yes! You can complete the feedback form in the app under the hamburger (navigation) menu located at the top right hand side of the application screen.
