Graduation is the official completion of your program and conferral of an academic degree.
All candidates for graduation should apply for graduation at the beginning of their final semester at UA-PTC to ensure they have satisfied the graduation requirements provided below. The priority and final deadline to apply for graduation is posted on the academic calendar. Applications submitted after the deadlines may cause delay in their degree being awarded until the next graduation period.
Graduation Requirements:
Step 1: Login to your UA-PTC Student Workday Account via My Apps.
Step 2: In the top search bar, type Apply for Program Completion.
Step 3: The Apply for Program Completion screen appears.
Step 4: If you are planning to attend the Commencement ceremony held in spring, check the RSVP Commencement box.
Step 5: Check the Apply box (under the apply heading) next to your program of study. You can select more than one program of study. Only select the program of study in which you will be completing this semester.
Step 6: Check the Confirm box and click Submit. If you get an error due to the date listed, please contact [email protected] for assistance.
Step 7: Review the information you provided and click Done.
Step 8: Once submitted, you will receive a notification in Workday to complete your graduation questionnaire located in your My Tasks in-box.
Step 9: Under the My Tasks in-box, click the Application for Program Completion link. The graduation questionnaire screen appears. You will be asked how you would like your name to appear on your diploma, regalia info, and other important info. In this step, you will also be able to provide any accommodations or assistance needed during the Commencement ceremony. To ensure all your needs are met, please provide details and a contact number where you can be reached.
Step 10: After completing the questionnaire, click Submit. You will receive a prompt that your graduation application has been submitted. Your graduation application is now complete!
Note: At any point in the questionnaire, you can click the Save for Later button and continue at a later time where you left off. Don't forget to complete your application before the deadline.

Check your Graduation Application Status
After applying for graduation, you can check the status of your application through Workday by following these steps:
Step 1: Click Menu from the top left corner.
Step 2: Select Academics Hub.
Step 3: Your graduation application status will appear next to your current In Progress Program of Study. You may see statuses such as: Pending Completion or In Progress.

Understanding your Graduation Audit Results
What is a degree audit? A degree audit is a list of all degree requirements for the program of study in which you are working towards completion. When our office is completing a degree audit, we look at all of the students' records. This includes any transfer courses, approved course substitutions, previous course history and any in-progress courses. Once reviewed you will receive an email from Graduation Services letting you know the status of your audit. The audit will reflect 1 of 3 stages.
- On Track - Student is on track to complete the program of study within the current term.
- Not Eligible - Student is missing requirements needed to complete the program of study within one year.
- Roll Over - Student is missing requirements needed to complete the program of study within the current term but could complete within one year.
How to view your Academic Progress in Workday
Step 1: Click Menu from the top left corner.
Step 2: Select Academics Hub.
Step 3: Then select Academics on the left hand side
Step 4: Then select Academics Progress on the top of window
Step 5: The student will see a progress wheel for each In Progress program of study they have declared to be working towards.
- The progress wheel indicates the number of requirements the student has satisfied out of the total requirements needed for the program of study.
Step 6: Further down you will see the display of the academic requirements on the table.
Step 7: Using the table, you will see the headers Requirement, Status, Remaining, Registrations Used, Academic Period, Units, Grade.
- Requirement - this is a list of all the academic requirements that must be completed in order to receive the degree.
- Status - this will list if the requirement has been Satisfied or Not Satisfied or In Progress.
- Remaining - this lets the student know how many more courses or units are still needed to complete the requirement.
- Registrations Used - this shows the courses that are being used to count towards the requirement.
- Academic Period - this shows the term in which the course was taken to meet the requirement.
- Units - this shows how many units or credit hours the course was taken as.
- Grade - this shows the grade the student earned in the course
Step 8: Review the status for all the requirements.
- Requirements marked as Satisfied have been completed.
- Requirements marked as Unsatisfied still need to be completed.
- Requirements marked as In Progress have at least one course completed but still needs more to fully satisfy the full requirement.
Step 9: To determine which course needs to be taken to satisfy this requirement, you would click the blue requirement listed to open the requirement course options.
Step 10: After clicking thee link Workday displays the View Academic Requirement for Student window.
Step 11: In the Eligibility Rule Meaning section each course that could be used to satisfy the degree requirement is listed.
Step 12: When all requirements have been met for the program of study the progress wheel will show green and show all requirements have been satisfied.

Step 13: When you are enrolled in your final courses to satisfy all requirements apply for graduation!
