UA - Pulaski Tech's commencement ceremony is an exciting time to celebrate your achievements with family, friends and fellow classmates. Learn more about the big day below.
- Commencement is held at the end of each spring semester.
- All certificate and associate degree candidates are encouraged to participate in commencement.
- Participation in commencement does not indicate completion of all requirements for graduation.
- Students must apply for graduation according to the stated deadlines in the academic calendar to be eligible to participate in the ceremony.
- General commencement information including regalia pick up instructions are emailed to graduation applicants typically in late February or early March of the spring semester.
- At this time there are no additional fees/cost required of students for regalia or participation in the commencement ceremony in general.
ANNOUNCEMENT: Commencement 2025 Regalia Orders are Now Available for Pick Up!
Regalia orders are available for pick up in the Campus Center Building, Room 103 at the Main Campus from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday until May 9. Prior to arriving, please bring a photo ID. If you need someone else to pick up your order, please send an e-mail to [email protected] with a copy of your photo ID and the full name of the person picking up your order.
Open late on the following dates:
Monday, April 14 till 6 p.m.
Tuesday, April 22 till 6 p.m.
Wednesday, April 30 till 6 p.m.
Thursday, May 8 till 6 p.m.
Saturday pick up is available on April 12 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. and May 3 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m.
For the commencement exercises and the printed program, honors and highest honors are calculated based on the cumulative GPA for the last semester completed. This means that for a student graduating in May, semester grades from the current spring semester are not included in the cumulative GPA.
- Honors - the cumulative GPA must be between 3.5 and 3.99
- Highest Honors - the cumulative GPA must be 4.0
Student Organization Regalia Accessories
Only UA-PTC official honor societies are permitted to wear additional regalia accessories during the ceremony.
- Students that are members of an official UA-PTC honor society are encouraged to ask their club advisor if they need to order any type of honors cord or stole to wear at the ceremony.
GradFest is the annual Spring event for our prospective graduates to join us in celebration.
- We hold one event at the North Little Rock Main Campus and one at the Little Rock South Site to ensure recognition and celebration is available to all prospective graduates.
- Typically, the event is held in late March or early April of the spring semester.
- Commencement participants will be able to pick up their regalia order at the event. Participants that miss the events will have the opportunity to pick up their regalia at the Main Campus following the events. Dates and times for pick up availability after GradFest will be listed in the Commencement Information e-mail sent to students prior to the events.

From March until June, the UA-PTC mobile app features a special commencement section accessible from the current student screen for graduates attending commencement. The persona serves as a one stop shop for all things commencement featuring:
- latest news and information for graduates leading up to graduation
- free commencement invitation digital download to share with friends and family

- watch the commencement ceremony live or after the event
- commencement photos featured after the event

- Remember final grades are posted prior to when conferred degrees are posted. Students may want to order one transcript after final grades have posted and another after degrees have conferred.

UA - Pulaski Tech supports the decoration of caps for the commencement ceremony. While the University recognizes that this is an important activity, students choosing to wear a decorated cap during the ceremony must follow guidelines below.
The guidelines will be enforced at the commencement ceremony, and the University reserves the right to request that graduates change their inappropriate attire before they are allowed to participate in the ceremony. The University wants this experience for our graduates to be a positive and celebratory event of self-expression yet respectful of all.
Only the flat top area of the mortarboard may be decorated. Adornments must lay flat on the surface of the cap. Decorations cannot extend beyond the border of the cap or fall below the perimeter. Cap decorations that are motivated by animosity against a person or group because of race, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability, national origin, or which infringe on the rights and freedoms of others will not be tolerated.
Decorations may not include the following:
- Profanity
- Symbols for or references to alcohol or controlled substances
- Bows, ribbon, or tulle that do not lay flat on the cap
- Three dimensional objects
- Flowers or flower crowns
- Light objects
Note: This is not an exhaustive list and any adornment or message deemed inappropriate or determined to pose a safety risk or distraction will not be permitted. The graduate will be asked to put on a new, undecorated cap if these guidelines are not followed. For questions concerning these guidelines, please email [email protected].
