Sales tax holiday weekend is Aug. 3-4
Beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3, and ending at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 4, the State of Arkansas will hold its sales tax holiday allowing shoppers the opportunity to purchase certain electronic devices, school supplies, school instructional materials, and clothing free of state and local sales or use tax.
The UA-PTC Bookstore on the Main Campus inside the Campus Center Building will be open from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, for students to purchase books and other school supplies tax-free. Books and supplies can also be purchased online at uaptc.edu/bookstore and on the UA-PTC mobile app throughout the tax-free weekend.
Students with financial aid awarded for Fall 8-Week I and 16-Week classes can charge books and supplies in the UA-PTC Bookstore during the sales tax holiday weekend. After the sales tax holiday weekend, awarded financial aid can be charged in the UA-PTC Bookstore beginning Monday, Aug. 12 until Friday, Aug. 30. Students can review their financial aid availability on the FinAid Portal.
