Goldman Sachs 10K Small Businesses grads honored

The graduation of the first cohort of Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses participants was honored at a ceremony at UA - Pulaski Tech on Friday, Dec. 8. The following entrepreneurs were recognized:

"This program showcases another way UA-PTC is committed to growth and development of not just our students but also our communities," said Outreach Coordinator Kimberly Blackmon. "This is in direct alignment with our vision of contributing to the economic and civic development of communities. This program means small businesses become more bankable and more sustainable which equates to creating more jobs and economic growth."

UA - Pulaski Tech's partnership with Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses was initiated in the summer of 2023. The college provides instruction and other curricular support to help entrepreneurs succeed and grow their businesses.

Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses is an investment to help entrepreneurs create jobs and economic opportunity by providing greater access to education, capital and business support services. Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses provides business education, support services and pathways to capital for growth-oriented entrepreneurs. Participants gain practical skills to take their business to the next level, with topics like financial statements, negotiations, and marketing. Participants develop an actionable growth plan for their business with the help of advisors and a network of like-minded entrepreneurs. The program is free for participants and delivered in partnership with academic institutions across the country. To date, Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses has served nearly 13,600 businesses in all 50 states, Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico.
