UA-PTC culinary school now operates campus dining
Beginning fall semester, the operation of the food service facilities at the UA-PTC Main Campus and at Little Rock - South will be managed "in-house" by Chef Scott Strzelecki of the University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Institute.
The Big Rock Bistro on Main Campus will open with a new menu of grab-and-go items, coffees, and cold drinks. Hours of operation are Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., with extended hours to come after kitchen renovations are complete.
La Patisserie will take over the food service facility at Little Rock - South, and it likewise will have new choices for hungry folks there. Service will start next week with a selection of sandwiches, coffees and drinks and a pastry menu available Sept. 5, once students start production.
"We are thrilled to engage our culinary students with real-world, hands-on experience while we improve the quality and variety of offerings for on-campus dining," said Chef Strzelecki. " I think students, employees, and community visitors alike will enjoy what's in store."
