Get ready to vote: first-time voter workshops Oct. 20–21
Voting for the first time can feel overwhelming, but knowing how the process works makes all the difference.
The UA – Pulaski Technical College Politics & History Club and the Arkansas Civic Action Network invite you to attend any one of several one-hour First-Time Voter Workshops in the CHARTS Performance Studio.
During these interactive sessions, you will learn how to navigate the voting process, understand what different levels of government actually do, and break down the specific races and ballot measures you will cast your vote on this November.
Early voting for the Nov. 3, 2026 General Election begins on Oct. 19, running Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., before officially concluding at 5 p.m. on the Monday prior to Election Day. Find polling places at www.voterview.ar-nova.org/voterview.
Session Times (CHARTS Performance Studio):
- Tuesday, Oct. 20: 8 a.m. or 10:50 a.m.
- Wednesday, Oct. 21: 9 a.m., 10 a.m., or 11 a.m.
Sign-in sheets will be provided at every session so students can confirm their attendance if their instructor offers course credit or extra credit for participating.
Students can check with their instructors to see if their class is attending together, or join any session that fits their schedule. For details, contact Sam Staggs at [email protected].
