November 07, 2022

UA - Pulaski Tech has selected Robert Ellerd as the college's Director of Financial Aid.

Ellerd has over eleven years of direct experience in the financial aid profession and more than seven years of supervisory experience. He joined the UA-PTC Financial Aid Department over four years ago as the Financial Aid Coordinator at the Little Rock-South site where he has been instrumental in streamlining reconciliation processes and improving the use of the financial aid processing software (PowerFAIDS). Prior to joining UA-PTC, Ellerd served as the Assistant Director and Interim Director at ASU Three Rivers where he was responsible for all aspects of financial aid processing.

“During the interview process Mr. Ellerd exhibited an extensive understanding of the financial process, knowledge of state and federal regulations, along with the ability to develop strong relationships within the institution, our student body, and with community partners, making him the best candidate for this position,” said Dr. John Lewis, UA-PTC Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid and who led the search committee.

Ellerd earned an Associate of Arts from the College of the Ouachitas (now ASU Three Rivers) and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Henderson State University Honors College. He has also earned credentials in thirteen areas of financial aid processing from the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA).

“I am more than honored and thank you for your confidence in me. It is very much appreciated,” said Ellerd. “The last year has seen many changes come to UA-PTC but our commitment to the community and each other has never wavered. I look forward to continue building strong relationships with campus departments that result in solution-driven responses that better serve our students.”
