Psychology Society event to explore mental health and career opportunities
Mental health professional Buster Lackey will host a presentation and discussion about mental health and career opportunities in the field of psychology on Tuesday, Nov. 8 at 9:25 a.m., 10:50 a.m., and 12:15 p.m. at the Main Campus in CHARTS Room 223 or via Zoom. He will also make a Zoom-only presentation on Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 2:15 p.m. The event is presented by The UA-PTC Psychology Club and UA-PTC Instructor of Psychology Michael Loya.
Buster Lackey, Ph.D., LPC, LADAC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor in Arkansas and Missouri. He is the National Alliance on mental Illness (NAMI) Executive Director in Arkansas. NAMI is the state's only mental health advocacy program offering support, referrals, and education to those living with mental illness. He is also the co-owner of The Center Health and Wellness in North Little Rock, Arkansas, where he practices mental health counseling. Buster also serves as the mental health consultant, crisis and hostage negotiator with the North Little Rock Police and is a mental health advisor for the FBI.
