Joshua Engle named UA-PTC Dean of Student Affairs
Joshua Engle of Weatherford, Oklahoma was named Dean of Student Affairs at University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College. He begins work in the role Monday, June 6.
Engle’s previous position was Dean of Students and Title IX Officer at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, a position he held since July 2019. His responsibilities included administration of programs and initiatives to support student engagement and success, collaboration on the implementation of wellness programs, supporting students and responding to behavioral issues, and administration of Title IX policies.
Prior to his appointment at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, he served as Associate Director of Student Support and Conduct in the Dean’s office at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire.
Engle has a Master of Science in Human Development and Family Science at Oklahoma State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Oklahoma State University.
"It's a pleasure to accept the role. I'm excited to get to know students across campus. It will be an honor to work with faculty, staff, and administrators to explore opportunities for student activities and engagement," Engle said.
The UA-PTC Dean of Student Affairs provides leadership in the areas of student life/leadership, student conduct, academic advising, career services, student records, counseling, disability services, first-year experience, tutoring services, police and public safety, adult education, testing services, Title IX, and Perkins.
