BIC offers Future Fit training program
UA - Pulaski Tech Business and Industry Center is conducting training for Future Fit, a program designed to enhance technical skills for individuals who seek careers in advanced manufacturing. Participants learn about blueprints, machine operations, safety, interpersonal skills, and other skills pertinent to the manufacturing workplace.
Classes are Sept. 22 – Dec. 17. The application deadline is Tuesday, Sept. 15. A maximum of 16 participants will be accepted into the program. Participants who complete the program will get interviews with Industry Partners upon completion of the program, including Democrat Printing and Lithographing, Global Manufacturing, Lexicon, L’Oreal, and Ring Container.
In recognition of the need for a safe and flexible learning environment, Future Fit program participants may choose to attend classes either online or face to face. Most participants will attend both online and hands-on skills assessment through scheduled appointments at certain points in the training. A limited number of face-to-face full time within a socially distanced environment are also available.
Participants should have a GED or high school diploma, or Career Readiness Certificate, as well as reliable internet and computer access. For further inquiry, visit www.uaptc.edu/futurefit or contact Kristi Tucker at (501) 907-6670 or [email protected].
