UA-PTC, UA Walton College of Business to announce 2+2 agreement
March 15, 2019
University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College and the University of Arkansas Sam M. Walton College of Business have created an easy path for students who begin their business studies at UA - Pulaski Tech to complete a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Degree in Business at University of Arkansas.
The two colleges will announce details of the transfer agreement on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 4 p.m. in the UA-PTC Business Technology Center Tom Steves Room on the UA-PTC Main Campus at 3000 West Scenic Drive in North Little Rock.
2 + 2 agreements are articulation agreements between institutions of higher learning that are designed to lower costs and expedite time to completion of degrees. This collaborative agreement will significantly reduce the cost of a four-year bachelor’s degree and is intended to increase the number of college graduates in central Arkansas. Addressing college debt and increasing graduation rates is a high priority for UA System institutions.
Students will complete their first two years at UA-Pulaski Tech and then transfer to UA Fayetteville for their final two years. They can choose from seven different majors in Walton within the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in the agreement.
On hand for the event will be UA Chancellor Joseph E. Steinmetz, UA System President Dr. Donald Bobbitt, UA-PTC Chancellor Dr. Margaret Ellibee, and UA Walton College Dean Matthew Waller as well as students, faculty, staff, and guests.
“It is our responsibility to ensure easy transfer of credit from UA-PTC,” Ellibee said. “As the state’s flagship university, UA Fayetteville is an obvious choice for many of our students, and the Walton College is a great place to make the best of the foundation we offer at UA-PTC. I’m thrilled that we are working together to accomplish that goal.”
