General Studies

The AGS is a 60-hour degree designed to allow maximum exploration of courses by a student. It is not intended for students who plan to pursue a baccalaureate degree although some courses may be transferable.
The degree must include 14-16 credit hours in a specific area or discipline and must be developed in cooperation with an advisor in the specific area or discipline. The approved degree plan must be on file with the graduation coordinator prior to application for graduation.
Certificate of General Studies
The CGS documents the student's mastery of the skills and competencies needed to be successful in the work force and to pursue further education.
