Completing Onboarding Tasks for New Students

After completing the UA-PTC Admissions Application in Step 1, the second step is completing the onboarding process (Onboarding Tasks). The onboarding process is required each semester before you can view your Financial Aid information or register for classes. The onboarding process is short and shouldn't take long to complete.

STEP 1: Access Student Workday by clicking My Apps at the top of the UA-PTC website or go to uaptc.edu/myapps.

STEP 2: Log in with your UA-PTC e-mail (example: [email protected]) and password when prompted.

You may also be prompted to authenticate using an authenticator app or secure code. If you are not familiar with authentication, see uaptc.edu/mfa.

STEP 3: From the My Apps menu, click Workday SSO - Production to access Student Workday.

STEP 4: Click the My Tasks icon in the right hand corner of the page.

STEP 5: Under the My Tasks in-box, click Student Onboarding to begin the onboarding process.


Review Documents screen  

STEP 6: Review the UA-PTC Statement of Responsibility. After reviewing, check I Agree and click Submit.

The next task will populate in your task in-box.


Federal Student Aid Authorizations screen  

STEP 7: Under the My Tasks in-box, click Federal Student Aid Authorizations. Review and check I Authorize to authorize your federal aid to pay non-institutional charges. After checking, click Submit.

NOT using federal aid/pell grant currently?

Still check the authorize box. This will help if you choose to apply for federal aid or receive any type of scholarship funds in the future.

The next task will populate in your task in-box.


Student Profile Survey screen  

STEP 8: Under the My Tasks in-box, click Student Profile Survey. You will be asked 9 brief questions about yourself. After completing the questions, click Submit.

Review UA-PTC Student Handbook screen  

STEP 9: Under the My Tasks in-box, click UA-PTC Student Handbook. Review the UA-PTC Student Handbook. After reviewing, check I Agree and click Submit.

The next task will populate in your task in-box.


Consent to Receive 1098-T Electronically screen  

STEP 10: Under the My Tasks in-box, click Consent to Receive 1098-T Electronically. Review 1098-T terms and conditions. After reviewing, check Yes and click Submit.

The next task will populate in your task in-box.


Review your personal information screen  

STEP 11: Under the My Tasks in-box, click My Personal Information. Review your personal information. Click Edit to make changes. Click Approve once your updates have been made or if you have no updates.

The next task will populate in your task in-box.


Review My Friends and Family screen  

STEP 12: Under the My Tasks in-box, click Review My Friends and Family. Emergency contact information is required to be added at this time. Updates can also be made later.

Let's add an emergency contact:

1. Click Add under Review My Friends and Family.

2. Choose Emergency Contact from the Relationship Types drop down box.

3. Add your emergency contact name under the Name tab.

4. Add a phone, address, and e-mail address for your emergency contact under the Contact Information tab.

5. Click OK and Done after your emergency contact has been added.

6. Click Submit.

The next task will populate in your task in-box.
 


Orientation Offerings screen  

STEP 13: Under the My Tasks in-box, click Orientation Offerings. Two options are available for attending New Student Orientation (NSO).

Option 1: In-Person

If you would like to attend NSO in-person, select a session that works best for you and click Submit.

Option 2: Online

If you prefer to go through NSO online at uaptc.edu/nso/online after completing the onboarding process, select Online and click Submit.

The next task will populate in your task in-box.


Review Preferred Name screen  

STEP 14: Under the My Tasks in-box, click Review Preferred Name. Click Change My Preferred Name to make updates to your preferred name. Click Submit once your updates have been made or if you have no updates to your preferred name.

The next task will populate in your task in-box.
 


Student ID and Bus Pass Reminder screen  

STEP 15: Under the My Tasks in-box, click Student ID/Bus Pass Reminder. Read the sentence about obtaining your Student ID card and riding the bus for free. After reading, click Submit.

The next and FINAL onboarding task will populate in your task in-box.


Schedule an Advising Appointment screen  

STEP 16: Under the My Tasks in-box, click Schedule an Advising Appointment. Read the sentence about scheduling an advising appointment at uaptc.edu/advising/appointment (appointment can be made after completing the onboarding process). After reading, click Submit.

Note: Watch your My Tasks in-box after completing the onboarding process for items that need your attention. Example: Reminder to submit an official high school transcript.
