Procurement Training Workshops

These ongoing procurement trainings and workshops are open for procurement end users, procurement approvers, cost center managers, requesters and administrators who are designated to create requisition. These trainings will consist of procurement policies, protocols, procedures, questions and answers time and hands-on trainings for better knowledge and understanding of the procurement processes.

Procurement 101 Overview Training - No Registration Required

This training will introduce end users to the procurement processes, protocols, responsibilities, requirements and the overall operation and function of the UA-PTC Office of Procurement.

  • Location: Main Campus, Campus Center Building Room 318
  • When: 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month
  • Time: 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
  • Virtual (Microsoft Teams): 1st Tuesday | 3rd Tuesday

Procurement: Workshop Wednesdays - No Registration Required

This training will cover four procurement processes and is designed for the end users to get more hands-on training practice on each process of ordering goods and services. The session provides an open forum for questions and answers for each procurement process exercise.

  • Location: Main Campus, Campus Center Building Room 318
  • When: 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month
  • Time: 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
  • Virtual (Microsoft Teams): 1st Wednesday | 3rd Wednesday

Travel Training Workshop

These ongoing travel trainings and workshops are open to any faculty or staff members that will attend conferences or trainings. These sessions will consist of travel policies, protocols, procedures, questions and answers time and hands-on trainings for better knowledge and understanding of the travel processes.

Travel Training 101 Overview and Workshop - No Registration Required

This training will introduce faculty and staff to the processes, policies and procedures of travel, including how to pre-plan, create spend authorizations and expense reports.

  • Location: Main Campus, Campus Center Building Room 318
  • When: 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month
  • Time: 1-3 p.m.
  • Virtual (Microsoft Teams): 2nd Thursday | 4th Thursday

  • How to pre-plan for travel
  • How to create a Spend Authorization
  • How to create an Expense Report

Hands-on Training Exercise:

  • Creating your pre-plan information
  • Using pre-plan information to create a Spend Authorization

Inventory and Asset Training Workshop

These ongoing inventory and asset trainings are open to faculty or staff members that utilize institutional owned equipment and devices. These sessions will consist of inventory policies, protocols, procedures, and questions and answers time for better knowledge and understanding of inventory management.

Inventory and Assets 101 Overview and Workshop - No Registration Required

Learn about inventory control and asset management. Policies on maintaining and managing inventory will be reviewed and the procedures to transfer or move items between areas, off-campus equipment usage, new asset ordering, personal inventory tracking, and physical inventory.

  • When: 1st and 3rd Friday of the month
  • Time: 1-2 p.m.
