UA-PTC launches ‘Vote Ready’ classroom presentation series for September
To help students prepare for upcoming 2026 general election, UA-Pulaski Tech is launching “Vote Ready,” a nonpartisan voter literacy initiative running throughout the month of September.
Led by Teaching Professor Sam Staggs, the initiative offers brief, 15-minute in-person classroom presentations designed to equip students with clear, practical guidance on participating in Arkansas elections.
During the presentations, students will learn:
- How to register to vote in Arkansas
- How to verify or update an existing registration status
- Key registration deadlines for upcoming elections
- How to locate reliable, nonpartisan voter and ballot resources
“Our goal with Vote Ready is to remove the guesswork from civic participation,” said Staggs. “By taking just 15 minutes of class time, we can ensure UA-PTC students have the straightforward, nonpartisan information they need to make their voices heard at the ballot box.”
