UA-PTC laptop loan program ends May 18
As the end of the spring semester approaches, please note that the UA-PTC Laptop Loan Program will officially conclude on May 18, 2026.
While the formal loan program is ending, the college remains fully committed to ensuring every student has the tools they need to succeed.
What This Means for Current Participants
If you currently have a loaner laptop, please note that all devices must be returned to the Ottenheimer Library by 4 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2026. Avoid fees! Please ensure your device is returned by the deadline to avoid a replacement cost charge to your student account. All inventory must be returned to the library; the college is unable to sell current loaner devices to individuals at this time.
Where Can I Find a Computer on Campus?
Don't worry—there are still plenty of places to get your work done! After May 18, students can continue to access high-speed internet and updated software at several locations:
• UA-PTC Ottenheimer Libraries: Both Main Campus and Little Rock-South have computer labs.
• Learning Assistance Center: Located on the 3rd floor of the Campus Center on Main Campus.
• BTC Open Lab: Visit the 2nd floor of the Business Technology Center on Main Campus.
Looking for Off-Campus Options?
The UA-PTC Bookstore sells laptops. $650 is the maximum amount you can use in the bookstore against your financial aid. Please refer to the Recommended Technology for Blackboard resource for guidelines to inform your purchase.
We also recommend checking out your local public library systems, workforce centers, or community hubs, many of which offer free computer and internet access to the public.
Questions? Our library staff is here to help! Please stop by or reach out at your earliest convenience to discuss your return or find alternative tech resources. https://uaptc.edu/library
