UA-PTC to plant “Liberty Tree” commemorating 250th anniversary of the United States
University of Arkansas-Pulaski Technical College will join the national Liberty Tree project with a ceremonial tree planting on Wednesday, April 8. The event marks a milestone in the lead-up to the 250th anniversary of the United States.
Students, employees and the public are invited to attend.
The initiative is part of a national goal by the Sons of the American Revolution to plant 250 Liberty Trees across the country before July 4, 2026. The project honors the original Boston Liberty Tree, a famous rallying point for colonists prior to the American Revolution. By planting these trees, the SAR and the Daughters of the American Revolution aim to educate the public on the sacrifices made during the nation’s founding.
