UA-PTC celebrates successful Kubota TECH Partnership Launch

University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College successfully launched its new Kubota TECH and NC3 partnership with a well-attended open house on April 17 at the UA-PTC Little Rock – South site. The event drew strong representation from area Kubota dealerships, alongside political and business leaders, as the college highlighted the program's significance for workforce development.

The open house featured a ribbon-cutting and remarks from key figures, including UA-PTC Chancellor Dr. Summer DeProw, who emphasized the low cost of attendance thanks to scholarships available through the State of Arkansas and elsewhere. Jeff Wagley, manager of educational partnerships for Kubota Tractor Corporation, underscored the opportunity for students to gain in-demand skills and industry-recognized certifications that lead to gainful employment. Dr. Tina Moore, director of workforce development at Arkansas Division of Higher Education, and Manny Rodriguez, NC3 program manager for Kubota, were highly complementary of the program’s collaborative nature. Industry representative Taylor Carlow of River Valley Tractor further emphasized the program's relevance from an employer’s perspective and Shaun Everest, instructor for UA-PTC’s Kubota program, emphasized the importance of hands-on training balanced with industry-standard curricula.

Attendees toured UA-PTC’s Kubota, diesel technology, and commercial truck driving facilities and met faculty and students, gaining insight into the practical learning environment where students earn valuable certifications and practical experience.
