
Kubota, UA-PTC, and River Valley Tractor to launch Kubota Tech program
Kubota Tractor Corporation and the University of Arkansas – Pulaski Technical College (UA-PTC) proudly announce the launch of a groundbreaking Kubota Tech Program, designed to rapidly train and certify skilled agricultural equipment technicians. This initiative, to be celebrated with an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 17 at UA-PTC’s Little Rock – South site, addresses the critical need for qualified technicians in the growing diesel industry.
The public is invited to join the festivities at 1 p.m. for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony and facility tours. A short program will include:
- Dr. Summer DeProw, Chancellor, University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College
- Dr. Tina Moore, Director of Workforce Development, Arkansas Division of Higher Education
- Manny Rodriguez, National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3) Program Manager for Kubota
- Jeff Wagley, Manager, Educational Partnerships, Kubota Tractor Corporation
- Taylor Carlow, Corporate Service Manager, River Valley Tractor
- Dr. Angela Kremers, Dean of UA-PTC Dean of Technical and Professional Studies
- Rylee Ray Kubota / Diesel Student
- Shawn Everest, UA-PTC Kubota Instructor and Assistant Teaching Professor
Following the ceremony, attendees will tour the Diesel shop, CDL area, and the new Kubota training space. UA-PTC diesel, CDL, and Kubota students will be on hand to provide demonstrations of diesel trainers, Kubota equipment, and CDL simulators, showcasing the hands-on learning opportunities available through the program.
The Kubota Tech Program offers a fast-track to a stable and rewarding career as a Kubota Certified Technician. Students can earn industry-leading National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3) certifications, gaining two certifications every eight weeks. With a 100% pass rate, many students are already employed, highlighting the program’s effectiveness.
“This cutting-edge program provides an accelerated path to a high-demand career,” said Angela Kremers, Dean of Technical and Professional Studies at UA-PTC. “We are committed to providing affordable training, with an $800 Workforce Challenge Scholarship available, ensuring that students can access the skills they need to succeed.”
The partnership between Kubota and UA-PTC aims to address the increasing demand for qualified diesel technicians. The program offers ongoing enrollment, allowing students to begin when they are ready. The training takes place at UA-PTC’s Little Rock – South site at 13000 I-30 Frontage Road in Little Rock.
