UA-PTC students gain political insight at ACC Student Leadership Conference
Five University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College students attended the Arkansas Community College Student Leadership Academy Feb. 3-4 at the Arkansas State Capitol.
Students Kaley Osborne, Tityana Moore, Emiley Morrison, and Jason Bradly collaborated with community college student leaders from across the state.
The students gained insight into the political system and met with state-level politicians.
They also participated in Capitol tours and observed Senate committee meetings. They met with Sens. Scott and Hammer, discussing post-graduation plans and state policy concerns. UA-PTC and UA Morrilton students received special recognition on the Senate floor.
Established in 2014, the ACC Student Leadership Academy has provided leadership training to over 500 community college students in Arkansas. Students participate in interactive sessions and networking activities designed to enhance their understanding of state government processes. UA-PTC is grateful to these students for representing the college as leaders!
