UA-PTC hosts "Breakfast with the Chancellor" event
Chancellor Summer DeProw hosted the first “Breakfast with the Chancellor” celebration May 16 as central Arkansas community and business leaders gathered at the UA - Pulaski Tech Main Campus to learn more about activities at the flagship community college in the UA system.
Dr. DeProw welcomed approximately 40 representatives of 3M, Entergy, WER Architects, Retirement Advisors of Arkansas, Little Rock Chamber of Commerce, Garland & Greenwood CPA’s, Arvest Bank, Hiland Dairy, CCI of Arkansas, Simmons Bank, Ted and Betty Williams Charitable Trust, Red Door Gallery and Lexicon.
After a welcome by Vice Chancellor of Advancement Melissa Hendricks and a student testimony by 2024 graduate Sophia Kohlenberger Bazzi, Dr. DeProw gave an update on activities at the college and toured the group through the recently-renovated Science Building.
She shared about the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business program at the college, UA-PTC partnerships with companies like Dassault Falcon Jet, the college's economic impact, general education and skilled trades programs, and the recent graduation of 566 graduates earning more than 1,500 degrees.
