Annual Student Art Competitive exhibit opens April 1
The 16th Annual Student Art Competitive exhibit opens Monday, April 1 in the Windgate Gallery inside the college’s Center for Humanities and Arts (CHARTS) building on the Main Campus. Art will remain on display through Monday, May 6.
The Student Art Competitive exhibit represents student work from beginning art and digital media production courses. The exhibit includes work by 15 students. The exhibition provides these students with the experience of having their work professionally exhibited.
The Student Art Competitive is a juried show. Judging will take place Thursday, April 4. The juror is Clark Valentine, a 26-year-old native of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is an assistant professor of drawing at UA Little Rock. With a rich background in visual arts and a passion for nurturing creative talent and developing collaborative partnerships, Valentine brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the university.
Windgate Gallery hours are 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday; closed weekends. Admission is free and open to the public. For more information, visit uaptc.edu/windgate-gallery.
