Charles named 2022 UA-PTC Academic All-Star
University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College has selected Chacall Charles as the 2022 UA-PTC Academic All-Star.
Chacall is pursuing an Associate of Science in Liberal Arts and Sciences. After completing his degree at UA-PTC, he plans to operate his own non-profit organization to assist underserved communities receive mental health services. Chacall is a UA-PTC Milestone awardee, Phi Theta Kappa member, and involved in TRiO Support Services. Chacall is also fighting food insecurity by partnering with Feeding America and the Arkansas Food Bank to host a food drive each year.
Chacall was honored at the Arkansas Community Colleges Academic All-Star Brunch in Hot Springs, Arkansas on October 11, 2022.
The Academic All-Star program is designed to recognize excellence in academics and leadership, and who have demonstrated superior service to the college and the community. Academic All-Star recipients receive a $1500 scholarship for up to two semesters at UA-PTC. The scholarship is contingent upon the student's maintenance of a 3.25 cumulative grade point average and completion of at least 12 credit hours per semester.
