Windgate Foundation awards more than $2 million for students at UA-PTC
The Windgate Foundation Board of Directors has approved a grant of $2,080,000 for University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College. The award includes an endowment grant of $2 million designated for a “Needs-Based Scholarship Endowment,” and a bridge grant of $80,000 to enable students to benefit more quickly.
“This grant, which increases a prior scholarship endowment awarded in 2018, will provide increased support for students as they achieve their goals,” said Patricia M. Forgy, Windgate Foundation Executive Director. “We encourage current and future students and their families to look into the excellent programs and assistance offered at UA-PTC.”
Based in Little Rock, Arkansas, the Windgate Foundation has provided grants across the United States since 1993, funding arts education, K-12 education, higher education and more. The foundation has previously awarded UA – Pulaski Tech $3.3 million in grants since 2008.
“On behalf of our faculty, staff, and UA Board of Trustees, I sincerely thank the Windgate Foundation Board for this tremendous gift for UA-PTC students,” said Margaret Ellibee, Chancellor at UA – Pulaski Tech. “The Board’s gracious consideration and award will propel our students to academic and career success that is truly life changing. The Windgate award will sustain this success!”
