UA – Pulaski Tech debuts OFF THE CHARTS virtual performance series

December 01, 2020

The CHARTS stage at UA – Pulaski Tech will spring back to life starting in December with OFF THE CHARTS, a series of free, virtual programming to be broadcast on YouTube at 6 p.m. on Thursdays, beginning Dec. 10.

All programs are free of charge and no registration is required.

Performances will be shown and archived here: www.youtube.com/pulaskitech and future shows will be listed on www.uaptc.edu/offthecharts.

“CHARTS was made to showcase quality arts programming, and with COVID-19 forcing us to postpone our regular season to late 2021, we believe the show must go on,” Shannon Boshears, vice chancellor for institutional advancement at the college said. “We plan to make this an ongoing series to highlight the talents of our finest local artists.”

The first four performances are:

Ted Ludwig Trio - Thursday, December 10

"Ted Ludwig is one superb jazz guitarist. His fluid heartfelt melodic style coupled with a strong harmonic sophistication has made him a compelling and impressive jazz musician. As Ludwig’s fingers caress and dance across his 7-string guitar, the New Orleans native delivers a passion and precision that is jazz guitar playing at its most engaging and accessible best." - Offbeat Magazine, 2013

Dazz and Brie - Thursday, December 17

Dazz & Brie is a rock ‘n soul woman-fronted duo and band. Affectionately named “The Emotionalz,” the duo and their band combine heavy rock instrumentation with soulful harmonies to create music that transcends all ages.

Ballet Arkansas Nutcracker Excerpts - Thursday, December 24

Ballet Arkansas brings the magic of Christmas to the CHARTS stage, performing all your favorites from the holiday classic, The Nutcracker.

Drew Jansen & Jimmy Martin - Thursday, January 7

Enjoy this cabaret-style performance by vocalist Drew Jansen and pianist Jimmy Martin as they perform Broadway and pop standards.
