Diamond Chef Arkansas Rescheduled for April 22
As a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College (UA-PTC) Foundation and the UA-PTC Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Institute has announced that the 13th Annual Diamond Chef Arkansas competition has been rescheduled to April 22, 2021. The event, originally scheduled for Thursday, April 23, 2020, had been postponed to Oct. 15, 2020.
"We were optimistic that rescheduling our Diamond Chef Arkansas event to October would allow us time to make provisions for the Covid-19 situation. However, in these unprecedented times where there is still uncertainty about the current health crisis, we believe it’s in the best interest of all involved to, again, move the date. Rescheduling to spring 2021 will allow us the necessary time to make preparations to ensure that the health and safety needs of the community, chefs, sponsors, attendees, and colleagues are met. This is our top priority at this time,” said Shannon Boshears, executive director of the UA - Pulaski Technical College Foundation. “We appreciate the continued support and understanding of all our supporters of Diamond Chef and the mission of the college,” Boshears added.
The 13th Annual Diamond Chef event is co-chaired by writer and professional wine educator Lorri Hambuchen and nationally esteemed restaurateur Mary Beth Ringgold. For more information or continued updates, visit uaptc.edu/diamondchef or contact Adora Curry at [email protected].
