Runners to raise funds for Joseph O'Neal Scholarship
The Little Rock Marathon is March 4-5, and several faculty and staff will be running in support of the UA-PTC Foundation's Joseph O'Neal Scholarship Fund. The scholarship is named in honor of former PTC student Joseph O'Neal who passed away in 2009. The scholarship is open to any UA-PTC student with a grade-point average of 2.5 or better and who is enrolled in a degree or technical program at the college. Each year, six $500 scholarships are awarded to needy students.
Dr. Don Kuonen, instructor of biological sciences, has spearheaded the scholarship run for several years.
You can help too by running or by making a tax-deductible donation to the PTC Foundation in support of the scholarship fund. Contributions can be made via cash or check in person in the Foundation office or online with credit card here. Just select "Joseph O'Neal Scholarship" in the Gift Designation box.
