“More Than Deliverables” photo exhibition on display through Sept. 5 at Windgate Gallery
The Windgate Gallery at UA-PTC's Main Campus is currently featuring "More Than Deliverables," an exhibition by artists Katie and Jonathan Childs. The collection, which spans both commissioned and personal work, will be on display through Sept. 5, 2025.
The exhibition aims to represent "what it looks like to be a working artist. Not just creating for yourself, and not just creating for others, but building a body of work that lives in between," as noted in their artist statement.
"‘More Than Deliverables’ explores the balance between meeting client goals and fulfilling personal creative impulses. In the world of client work, everything has a purpose: a deadline, a target audience, a list of deliverables," the artists stated. "But behind every assignment is a person, an artist, making creative choices, finding beauty in constraints, and bringing something human to the brief."
About the Artists: Katie Childs operates Katie Childs Photo, a photography studio based in Little Rock. She was recognized as the Arkansas Times Best Photographer in both 2023 and 2024. Jonathan Childs is a Digital Media Production instructor at UA-Pulaski Tech and holds an MFA in Filmmaking from the University of Central Arkansas.
UA - Pulaski Tech will host a closing reception for the exhibition on Thursday, Sept. 4, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m.
