Two locations for tutoring assistance:

Computer labs

The Computer Labs provide free assistance to all enrolled students with Microsoft based software, Blackboard, support with MyLabs Plus, E-mail Internet access, and tutoring services with most CIS courses.

Career Services

Career planning doesn’t begin when you graduate; it begins when you enter college.

The Office of Career Services provides students and alumni with the career planning resources and support they need to succeed as they enter the workforce or transition to next steps in their educational journey. Career Services can assist you with everything from exploring career options and creating a career path to locating internships and the employment application process.

Counseling Services

Provides counseling services for students experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, and other concerns.

Assists students with adjusting to college life.

Suicide Prevention

10 MOST COMMON WARNING SIGNS OF SUICIDE:

  1. Extreme mood swings and/or personality changes
  2. Increased fixation on death, suicide and/or violence
  3. Withdrawal from family and friends
  4. Communicating feelings of hopelessness, such as saying they have “no reason to live”
  5. Communicating a desire/plan to die by suicide
  6. Giving away belongings/items of special meaning or significance
  7. Obtaining a weapon or other means of lethal self-harm
  8. Increased alcohol and/or substance abuse
  9. Engaging in risky and/or dangerous behavior
  10. Loss of interest in people, things, places and activities they previously cared about

Bookstore

The UA-PTC Bookstore is operated by Textbook Brokers as a service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Textbooks, supplies, and other items are available. The bookstore accepts cash, credit/debit cards, and financial aid. Refund policies are provided at the time of purchase.

ACCESS Textbook Program

The ACCESS textbook program allows students to purchase digital textbooks at a reduced cost. Students will see a significant savings on course materials — up to 75 percent.

When a student registers for one of these courses, access to course materials is granted automatically. All students have what they need on the first day of class, stress-free and effortlessly. All students will be ready to engage and learn by having access to all required course materials. For more information, visit www.uaptc.edu/access.

Purchasing Books Using Financial Aid

Books and required supplies may be purchased at the UA-PTC Bookstore using anticipated financial aid in excess of tuition and fees. How it works:

  1. Bring a copy of your current schedule and UA-PTC ID to the campus bookstore.
  2. Books and required supplies can be charged to your student account during the designated bookstore charge dates each semester as posted below.
  3. It can take up to two business days after you register and/or after your financial aid is awarded before you will be able to charge your books at the bookstore.
  4. The dates listed above are the only dates when you will be able to charge books, no exceptions.
  5. REMEMBER—Bookstore charges will be deducted from any financial aid refund you receive.
