Section 2: College Terminology

“Check My Apps / Workday”

• Workday - Workday is where students will explore course schedules, review financial aid, view grades, track academic progress, view and contact their advisor, and pay tuition and fees. Students can access Workday by logging into My Apps.
• Blackboard - Blackboard is our learning management system. It is where students will turn in assignments, engage in discussions, take quizzes and tests, access course lessons and information, and communicate with their instructor. Students can access Blackboard by logging into My Apps.

What is a credit hour?

• It measures approximately how much time you’re in class per week.
• Most classes are worth 3 or 4 credit hours.
