BIC Electrical Consortium Class celebrates graduation seven

May 19, 2026

Recent graduates successfully completed the Introduction to Basic Electricity and Introduction to Industrial Electricity courses through the UA - Pulaski Tech Business and Industry Center.

The Introduction to Basic Electricity course consisted of 36 hours of classroom instruction and hands-on training, while the Introduction to Basic Electricity course consisted of 36 hours of classroom instruction and hands-on training, while the Introduction to Industrial Electricity course provided an additional 24 hours of classroom-based and practical learning. Together, the programs delivered a total of 60 instructional hours over a ten-week period, meeting two days per week.

Instructor Shaun Everest brings an engaging and highly practical approach to the classroom. He encourages students to share real-world electrical challenges they encounter on the job, allowing the class to work collaboratively through authentic scenarios. Students value his instruction for its practical application, emphasis on critical thinking, and focus on teamwork to effectively troubleshoot and solve problems.

Several companies expressed strong interest in participating in the program; however, many are unable to dedicate an entire department for an extended period while maintaining adequate workplace coverage. To address this need, BIC offers electrical consortium classes, enabling multiple companies to combine participants to form a single class. This consortium model ensures accessibility while preserving the depth and quality of instruction. Due to high demand, similar electrical consortium classes are already scheduled for Fall 2026, and BIC is pleased to continue offering this valuable training opportunity to our industry partners.
