Dr. Seuss classic “The Cat in the Hat” to bring zany mischief to UA – Pulaski Tech April 14
The mischievous charm of Dr. Seuss’s most iconic character will leap off the page and onto the stage as "The Cat in the Hat – Live on Stage!" arrives at the Center for Humanities and Arts (CHARTS) on Tuesday, April 14, at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $60 and $45, available now online at uaptc.edu/charts. Inquire at (501) 812-2831 for group and multi-show discounts.
Originally adapted by the National Theatre of Great Britain in 2009, this faithful production brings the 1957 masterpiece to life with the high-energy chaos of Sally, her brother, the overprotective Fish, and the whirlwind duo, Thing One and Thing Two. After multiple sold-out tours across New Zealand and Australia since 2018, the production is now bringing its "theatrical adventure" to audiences across the United States.
"It’s fun to have fun, but you have to know how," said the Cat. This production aims to show audiences exactly how, through a 50-minute performance designed specifically for children aged 3 and up, as well as nostalgic adults.
Written by Oxford-educated Theodor ‘Seuss’ Geisel using just 200 words, the original book remains one of the best-selling children’s titles of all time. This stage version maintains that simple, imaginative magic while introducing a new generation to the joys of live theater.
Dinner or light concessions will be available for purchase at the venue.
