New mural, “Diamond Dog Dreaming,” completed in CHARTS hallway
The Art in the Community class completed the Diamond Dogs Dreaming mural project in the CHARTS 2nd floor corridor on Dec. 2. Students Leylane Gonzalez and Danni Vandevender worked with Associate Teaching Professor of Art Kim Kwee on the mural, painting, and making design choices.
Diamond Dogs Dreaming is a UA-PTC-inspired spin on The Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh. “Just as the night sky inspired van Gogh to dream of the infinite, our Diamond Dog students are all dreaming of new lives and opportunities,” said Kwee. “We hope that the mural lifts everyone's spirit and puts a little smile on their faces.”
Art in the Community is open for enrollment in Spring 2026 Semester and students will paint a different mural in the class.
