Veterans to be honored Nov. 10
Mark your calendar for a special event on Monday, Nov. 10, to honor and celebrate our U.S. armed forces veterans and service members. The Grand Opening of the all-new Veterans Center is at 10 a.m. in Building A.
All veterans, faculty, and staff are invited to the ribbon cutting celebration, which will feature brunch hors d'oeuvres and a mocktail toast; veterans who RSVP will also receive a gift bag.
The celebration continues from Noon to 2 p.m. with the annual Veteran's Day Recognition Event in the "A" Building Central Common Area on Main Campus, where all veterans and supporters are welcome to enjoy refreshments at this free event sponsored by the UA-PTC Veteran's Service Office.
Veterans Center and Bookstore Benefits
The new Veterans Center will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. during regular semesters, serving as a dedicated resource for our veterans.
Plus, look for a new perk! To help our veterans hit the books, there will be snack/coffee giveaways for any veteran student or VUB participant studying in the Veterans Center, typically between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., Monday through Thursday, for the rest of the fall semester.
Finally, show your ID and save big! The UA-PTC Bookstore is offering 25% off most merchandise to anyone with a military or Veteran ID for the entire week of the event.
