
Amanda Howard joins counseling and disability services
Amanda Howard joins the office of Counseling and Disability Services at UA - Pulaski Tech.
Amanda is a Licensed Associate Counselor who earned a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education at Arkansas Tech University and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership at Arkansas State University. She received a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Harding University.
She was an elementary school teacher for 16 years and has experience working with a wide range of ages and backgrounds. Her passion is working with college students to help them realize their greatest potential. Her professional interests include but are not limited to: treating anxiety and depression, stress management, communication skills, conflict management, and adjusting to college life. She helps students overcome barriers, recognize individual strengths and abilities, and gain a greater sense of self to help them find solutions that fit their individual needs.
In her free time, she enjoys watching sports, spending time with family and friends, going to the lake, and playing with her dog.
The UA - Pulaski Tech office of Counseling and Disability Services, offers resources to students who are struggling with disabilities, mental health issues, substance abuse issues, and other common challenges.
The mission of the office of Counseling and Disability Services is to support the emotional, intellectual, and social development of students at UA - Pulaski Technical College. Counseling and Disability Services provides access, promotes student learning, and enable individuals to develop to their fullest potential by identifying and removing barriers to academic success and assisting students with the development of new skills that will enrich their lives.
