Dr. Ana Hunt selected Provost at UA – Pulaski Tech

Dr. Ana Hunt was selected as Provost at University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College, it was announced June 15.

The Provost is the chief academic officer at the College. Dr. Hunt will serve as the executive leader for the following Schools and Units:

  • School of Fine Arts Humanities and Social Sciences
  • School of Science Mathematics and Allied Health
  • School of Technical and Professional Studies
  • Libraries
  • Academic Advising Center and Student Support
  • Records
  • Perkins Grant
  • Institutional Research
  • Adult Education
  • Tutoring Services

“Dr. Hunt has demonstrated her commitment to student success in everything she has done at UA-PTC,” said Chancellor Summer DeProw. “She is a great leader who possesses the knowledge, skill, experience, and compassion required to advance the important work this college does in our community.”

Dr. Hunt will lead the effort to hire a new Associate Provost in the coming months.

"I'm humbled and very grateful that the search committee chose me," Dr. Hunt said. "I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues to offer the best educational experience in Arkansas."

Dr. Hunt joined UA - Pulaski Tech as Registrar in 2019. She served most recently as Interim Provost. Between July 1, 2022 and Dec. 31, 2022, she served as Interim Chancellor during the national search that followed the retirement of former Chancellor Margaret Ellibee.

Prior to joining UA-PTC, Dr. Hunt served as Registrar at National Park College in Hot Springs for three years and as Registrar and Enrollment Coordinator at Baptist Health College in Little Rock 2012-2016.

She received her Doctor of Education (Ed.D) in Educational Leadership and Management from Capella University in 2020. She also has a Master of Science in College Student Personnel from Arkansas Tech University and a Bachelor of Science from University of Arkansas at Monticello.
