A 2020 graduate of the UA-PTC 3D program, Tara Ricardo, and her employer, Chicken Salad Chick, are hosting fundraisers later this month. Chicken Salad Chick is dedicating 10% of sales plus other donations to a UA-PTC Foundation scholarship.
The event also raising awareness of Williams Syndrome.
The fundraisers will be at the following Chicken Salad Chick locations:
- Friday, May 19 - Benton, 20370 Interstate 30 North Suite 101
- Friday, May 26 - North Little Rock, 3901 Warden Rd.
Last year Tara raised $1,000 in scholarship aid for 3D students!
Tara graduated from UA-PTC 3D in May 2020 and became an employee for Chicken Salad Chick shortly after. Upon employment her amazing employer Emily Gray fell in love with Tara and highly valued her as an employee.
At this time her employer had never heard of Williams syndrome. With love, curiosity, and appreciation for her employee, They collaborated together to further the awareness of Williams syndrome in Arkansas to the point of hosting corporate Chicken Salad Chick in joining them in the first fundraiser. Since then Tara has hosted 2 fundraisers, 1 dedicating the proceeds to our 3D students. This year will be her second year dedicating funding to our 3D program!
Tara is our first 3D alumni that has actively worked and dedicated fundraising to our program. She is amazing and we are so thankful for her wanting to help 3D students in financial aid need post her graduation!
"The Chicken Salad Chick franchises in the state of Arkansas has employed many of our 3D graduates and has helped us improve the availability of inclusive employers in the state of Arkansas!," said 3D Faculty Catherine McCormack. "Last year Tara raised $1000 for our program and we would love to exceed that this year. Please support Tara’s mission to bring awareness to Williams syndrome and 3D!"
