
Veteran Upward Bound leader featured on Vietnam archive

Randall Aragon, Academic Coordinator for Veterans Upward Bound, was interviewed for the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies Arkansas Vietnam War Project. The project documents the state's role in the war and preserves historical materials from the period.
After serving as a combat commander in the Vietnam war and serving a total of 12 ½ years active service, he was honorably discharged holding the rank of Captain. He then entered the South Carolina Army National Guard (SCANG). After serving an additional 12 years’ service teaching leadership at the SCANG’s Officer Candidate School, and as a Military Police Staff Officer, he retired at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, Military Police Corps.
