Course Curriculum Map

Friday, November 24, 2017

Curriculum mapping is a process used by educators to analyze and identify how well the curriculum used in a series of courses for a specific educational program aligns with the intended student learning outcomes. This matrix or diagram compiled from the mapping exercise clearly identifies academic gaps, redundancies, and misalignments. This information is then used by educators for purposes of improving the overall coherence and effectiveness of a course of study.

This Course Curriculum SLOs Map is basically a matrix that displays which courses taught at University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College specifically address which of seven General Education Student Learning Outcomes. As students matriculate through their program of study, they will have engaged in learning activities that specifically address an indicated General Education Student Learning Outcome. By the end of their program of study, students will have engaged with and have been assessed on all seven of the General Education Student Learning Outcomes.
