UA-PTC partners with the UAMS College for Health Professions to provide hands-on experiences for students interested in careers in ultrasound, radiography, respiratory therapy, paramedic/EMT, ophthalmic technology, medical technology and surgical technology.

The applications deadline is typically announced in September, and the two-day internship program takes place in October. Participants rotate through the various health programs, meet UAMS students and faculty, and get valuable hands-on skills. A recognition banquet for students who complete the internship is held on the UA-PTC Main Campus.

Each fall, applications are made available at the following places:

  • Administration Building reception desk
  • Division of Math and Science office (SCIB-115)
  • Ottenheimer Library
  • Bulletins boards on Main campus
