The Professional Development Institute (PDI) provides training and professional development opportunities to UA-PTC’s employees.

Departmental Responsibilities:

  • Develop and schedule professional development throughout the year
  • Offer both online and face-to-face training
  • Track training offered through our office and provide transcripts to employees
  • Provide opportunities for faculty and staff to share their knowledge
  • Provide conference and travel funding (limited)

Jayne provides leadership, guidance, and direction for professional development activities. She develops and conducts training, recruits presenters, identifies training needs, and coordinates training events. Mary provides coordination for general professional development, including advertising training events, scheduling locations, and collecting evaluation data. Contact Mary with questions regarding scheduled training, need to schedule some training, need a transcript of your completed training, or if you need a report.

  

Mission

The mission of the Professional Development Institute (PDI) is to improve student achievement through the professional growth of University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College employees via high-quality, timely, and cost-effective professional development opportunities that continue to support the institution’s strategic goals. PDI delivers face-to-face and online programs facilitated by internal and external partners and seeks continual feedback from subject matter experts, the advisory board, and other stakeholders.
