UA-PTC Learning Assistance Center Mission Statement

The Learning Assistance Center (LAC) mission is to provide students the support and services needed to achieve their educational goals at UA - Pulaski Tech.

Free Tutoring Services

The LAC offers free tutoring assistance for currently enrolled students online and in-person when the college is open at the Main Campus and at the Little Rock-South site.

About Our Tutors

The LAC has two different types of tutors that assist students:

Peer Tutors - These tutors are UA-PTC students who excel in their coursework, possess skills and qualities that make them ideal helpers, and received a recommendation by UA-PTC faculty as demonstrating superior subject knowledge. Peer Tutors are well suited to offer support because they have recently taken those classes, making them uniquely qualified. Peer Tutors want to develop active, independent learners in each UA-PTC student. If you are interested in becoming a peer tutor, please visit or contact the LAC.

Professional Tutors - These are tutors who have bachelor’s or master’s degrees in the subjects they tutor. They teach or have taught classes here at UA-PTC, which also equips them with insight and knowledge of the coursework and instructor’s preference. They are available and ready to help daily in the LAC.

Computer Labs

The LAC provides open computer labs at the Main Campus, Campus Center Building, Room 308, and Little Rock-South, Room 222 for all currently enrolled students. These centers offer a tech on duty to assist with access to Microsoft-based software, Blackboard, MyLabs Plus, JAWS Screen Reader, ZOOM text, E-mail, Internet access, printing, and scanning documents. We also provide some assistance with CIS programs.
