UA-PTC Respiratory Therapy Spring Seminar set for April 1-2
Respiratory therapists and students from across the state and country will gather at UA - Pulaski Technical College for the college's 18th annual spring seminar on April 1-2.
The seminar will take place 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. both days in the Campus Center Grand Hall on the college's main campus, 3000 West Scenic Drive in North Little Rock.
Seminar topics include Leadership in Respiratory Care, Sepsis in the ICU, Asthma Updates, Patient Services from Hospital to Home, Social Determinants of Respiratory Health, Equipment and Delivery Devices for the Home-Based Respiratory Therapist, The Role of the Respiratory Therapist in End of Life Issues, ICU Infections and Superbugs, A Respiratory Therapist Role in the Continuity of Care, DLCO: Understanding Gas Exchange, Diagnosis and Management of Bronchiolitis, and Medical and Legal Issues for Respiratory Therapists.
The seminar is open to all respiratory care professionals and respiratory therapy students. Attendees who attend both days will receive 12 continuing education units and those attending for one day will receive 6 continuing education units for participation. The cost for the two-day event is $60 for both days and $35 for one day. If registering on the day of the conference, an additional $5 registration fee will be added. Registration includes breakfast and lunch. The seminar is free to current respiratory therapy students (proof of current student status will be required).
