FREE DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY FOR POTENTIAL EMPLOYEES

The University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College has partnered with Dassault Falcon Jet of Little Rock, to offer a pre-employment skills development program free of charge. Students who complete this program will have an increased opportunity for employment eligibility at the Little Rock facility. DFJ is widely known for their quality, performance, and efficiency in aircraft completion. This course is open to anyone with a high school diploma or GED and a stable work history. Participants will be subject to a random drug screening and a background check.

Class Description

The Introduction to Business Jet Cabinetry  class provides an opportunity for participants to gain knowledge and skills for a possible position in the Cabinetry Shop at DFJ. The two-phase program will first focus on workplace essentials, such as basic computer skills, enhanced written and verbal communications, basic interviewing techniques, resume writing, and problem solving. The second phase of the program will focus on learning Dassault Falcon Jet’s processes and procedures that are used in the fabrication of aircraft cabinets.

All participants are required to successfully complete Phase I, participate in a preliminary interview with the Cabinetry management team, and tour the Little Rock facility, prior to being selected for Phase II. After the successful completion of Phase II, the participants will have the opportunity to submit an application and participate in a final interview for an entry-level position in the Cabinetry Shop at Dassault Falcon Jet of Little Rock.

Length of Program (Feb. 25 – May 9)

This 11-week program will consist of two phases:

  • Phase I: Two nights per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 – 7:30 p.m. for six weeks. After Phase I is complete, students will participate in an onsite preliminary interview and a tour of the facility.
  • Phase II: Will continue over 4 weeks. During this phase, students will meet on Tuesdays from 6-9 p.m. and on Saturdays at 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Entry Level Requirements

This course is open to anyone with a high school diploma or GED and a stable work history. Dassault Falcon Jet takes pride in their employees and will expect a high level of skill from all participants in this course. Participants must display strong and consistent lifestyle management skills, extreme ownership, and ability to work well on a team. Participants will be subject to random drug screening and a background check.
