Career Closet Donation Form

*Please note: Contact Name and Mailing Address will be verified by government-issued ID for any items that need to be returned to the donor and to mail out a finalized In-Kind Gift/Donation receipt, if requested.

We accept the following New and Like New items in Black/Charcoal, Navy/Dark Blue, Gray, or Brown:

Suits
Blazers/Jackets/Sweaters/Cardigans (Tan accepted)
Blouses/Dress Shirts/Knit- Shirts (White, Tan accepted)
Dress Pants/Trousers/Slacks/Khakis (Tan accepted)
Skirts/Dresses (White, Tan accepted)
Ties/Bow Ties (Most/All Colors)
Belts (Tan accepted)
Briefcases/Handbags (Tan accepted)
Simple/Understated Jewelry (Fashion, Not Costume; Gold- or Silver-tone)

*ONLY NEW, UNWORN, CLOSED-TOE DRESS SHOES (Men & Women) WILL BE ACCEPTED.

We DO NOT accept the following:

Any item showing wear (stains/spots/mold, rips/tears/holes/fraying, missing or broken buttons/grommets/hooks/zippers/stitching, neck rings/pit stains/makeup, fabric thinning/pilling, etc.)
Dirty or any item not laundered/dry cleaned
Any Item with wrinkles, lint, pet hair, odors, etc.
Any Sleeveless item (blouses, dresses, etc.)
Outdated items (anything more than 5 years old)
Any Hat or other Headwear Item
Any jewelry item showing tarnish/wear, missing/broken pieces, childish in appearance, plastic, etc.
Used shoes, Sandals/Open-Toe shoes, Flip Flops, Sneakers/Trainers, Stilettos, Casual, Crocs, etc.
Children’s items
Swimsuits or otherwise “outdoor”-oriented items
Athletic wear/gear, Athleisure, Pullovers, Hoodies, or Sweat/Track/Wind Suits (shirts, pants, and/or breaker jackets)
Shorts, Capris, Skorts, Rompers, or Jumpsuits
Undershirts, Tank Tops, Undergarments, Costumes, Pajamas, or Onesies
Sundresses, Maxi dresses, Evening dresses, Tuxedos
Socks/Tights/Hosiery/Nylons/Stockings
Winter/Heavy Coats, Raincoats/Umbrellas
Satchels, Laptop bags, Backpacks, Crossbody bags, Tote or Beach bags, Lunch bags, Duffle/Weekender bags, Rolling bags, Fanny packs, Holsters, or Wallets
Household items (towels, robes, pillow cases/bedsheets, etc.)
Any item made from plastic
Any item with weapons, images, pictures, hobbies, etc. printed on it
Any item deemed unacceptable by Career Services staff

*Items that do not meet Interview-Ready standards will be returned to the donor and removed from the final copy of the In-Kind Gift/Donation form.

Please indicate the clothing items being donated, the quantity, and the colors.

I confirm that my donation consists of new or "like new" items, with no signs of wear, stains, holes, or other damage.

I confirm that all donated clothing has been recently laundered or dry cleaned and is free of wrinkles, lint, pet hair, and odors.

I understand that the Career Closet only accepts professional, conservative attire that is no more than 5 years old.

I confirm that my donation does not include any items on the "We DO NOT accept" list, such as sleeveless items, athletic wear, shorts, used shoes, or household items.

I understand and agree that only new, unworn, closed-toe dress shoes will be accepted.

I understand and agree that items that do not meet these "Interview-Ready" standards will be returned to me and will not be included on my final donation receipt.
